Hebrew Bibles : Jewish and Christian Scriptures

God's word was first written on or engraved into two stone tablets by God's finger and known as the "Ten Words" or the "Ten Commandments". The sum of these words are supreme love for God and love for our neighbor and loving our enemies. The early written language of the scribes was Paleo-Hebrew pictographs. The Dead Sea scrolls include several fragments or partial manuscripts in paleo-Hebrew pictographs. Later Hebrew manuscripts used the Aramaic script. Perhaps the most important manuscript is the "Great Isaiah Scroll". In the second half of the 1st millennium CE, the Masorete Scribes created the Niqqud marks (vowels) to aid vocalization of the words.
